What is a WhatsApp QR code generator?
A WhatsApp QR code generator turns your WhatsApp number into a scannable square image. When a customer, friend or follower points their camera at it, WhatsApp opens with a chat to you already started — they never have to type or save your number. It's the printed-world equivalent of a click-to-chat link.
QR codes shine wherever a text link is awkward: restaurant menus, business cards, product packaging, event banners, shop counters, vehicle decals and conference badges. A scan is faster and far less error-prone than typing a long phone number by hand.
How does it work?
A QR code ("Quick Response" code) is a two-dimensional barcode that stores text — in this case a WhatsApp click-to-chat URL of the form https://wa.me/<number>?text=<message>. Phone cameras recognise the pattern, decode the URL and offer to open it. WhatsApp then detects the device and launches either the mobile app or WhatsApp Web with your number in the chat window and your welcome message pre-filled.
Good to know: we use a medium error-correction level, so the code still scans if a small part is scratched, folded or covered by a logo.

What size should I print the QR code?
Download the PNG at 480 px or 1024 px. For flyers and business cards 2–3 cm wide is enough; for posters and shop windows go bigger so people can scan it from a distance. Always test a scan before you print in bulk.
Can I change the colour of the QR code?
Yes — pick a foreground colour below the code. Keep it dark on a white background so every scanner app can read it; light or low-contrast colours may fail to scan.
